After the recent horror comedy Come to Daddy, Elijah Wood (Maniac - 2012) will star in No Man of God, the crime/thriller based on the story of US criminal Ted Bundy. According to reports from Deadline, the actor will play an FBI analyst involved in the serial killer case.
Written by C. Robert Cargill (Doctor Strange) and directed by Amber Sealey (A Plus D), No Man of God will be set mainly in one location namely in an interrogation room. In fact, the film is based on transcripts of conversations (which took place between 1984 and 1989) between FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier (Elijah Wood) and Ted Bundy. The story will focus on the complicated relationship between the two during the serial killer's final years on death row.
Elijah Wood also appears on the film crew as a producer along with Daniel Noah, Lisa Whalen and Kim Sherman. Scott Derrickson, Bill Hagmaier, Stacy Jorgensen and Mark Ward, on the other hand, are the executive producers.
No Man of God will be presented at the virtual market in Cannes next week.
Ted Bundy would lure his prey near colleges and universities and then rape and kill them. The criminal used to return to the crime scene to have intercourse with the decomposed bodies of his victims and used some anatomical parts (the heads) as trophies.
The man was executed in the electric chair in 1989. Before his execution, the multiple murderer confessed to being the mastermind of 30 murders carried out between 1974 and 1878.
